Inspiring Future Aviators

Inspiring Future Aviators provides high school students interested in technical education
and/or engineering with behind-the-scenes access to the New England Air Museum
and the Bombardier Hartford Service Centre in Windsor Locks, CT at no cost thanks to generous support from the Bombardier Hartford Service Centre.

In addition to touring the museum, students receive exclusive access to our Aircraft
Restoration Facility where we repair, maintain, and restore our collection of historic aircraft. The Bombardier facility visit gives students an opportunity to meet aviation industry professionals and tour their active aircraft maintenance shop floor.

Here’s what some IFA teachers have said about their experience:

“This is the best field trip of the year for my students. The Bombardier facility is the first time my students have had to see and talk to people who work in engineering and technology.”

“Three students who participated in the program last year changed their career goals after their Inspiring Future Aviators experience. Rather than become automotive technicians, they are now enrolled in the Connecticut Aero Tech School for Maintenance Technicians program.”

“The whole day was just perfect! My students were engaged and loved spending time both at NEAM and Bombardier. They are already talking about going again next year!
