All Landing gear components were refinished, fitted, and assembled. The brakes were rebuilt and installed. Both main wheels were fitted with new bearings, refinished with red paint (Anson Johnson's design), and stored away for later installation. The tail wheel was refinished as well. Both landing gear doors and both wheel well doors were prepared for paint and primed. Missing landing gear components were purchased and both landing gear to door links were machined to NAA drawing specifications. NEAM member/volunteer Casmir Kruzel, president/owner of Peerless tool Co. and son Krystian fabricated the front links. Krystain is a recent high school graduate working for his dad during the summer months. Chuck Allessio, Whip City Tool Co. Foreman machined the rear links. The completed assemblies were stored for installation in the future.
