Tom began his first pastorate at the First Presbyterian Church of Asheville, North Carolina,  In 1962 he accepted a call to the Wytheville Presbyterian Church, where he served as minister until his retirement in 1990. Dr. Sproule was bestowed the title of Minister Emeritus and remained an active member of the church, the Abingdon Presbytery, Senate, and General Assembly.

Comments:

Reverend Sproule passed away on October 6, 2010 and is buried at the West End Cemetery in Wytheville, Virginia.
