New England Air Museum
Come Fly with Us at the Flight Sim Spot
Work with seven well-trained instructors, some of whom are active pilots, who are here to provide training, instruction and personal attention to serve your flying needs.
Flight Sim Spot
We start with the basics of flying by showing you how the flight controls, rudder pedals and throttles work that are connected to our computers; also an explanation of some of the instruments and how they work.
With the seven simulators you can fly different airplanes ranging from ultra-lights, single engine land and sea planes to multi-engine jets -- even the Space Shuttle!. You can even fly some of the aircraft in the Museum’s collection. You can even design and test-fly your own aircraft. A recent enhancement allows simulators to be linked for simultaneous flight.
Flight Sim Spot
The more you come the more you can explore, practice and learn to gain confidence in your flying abilities. You can challenge those abilities by grabbing a Resource Note Book at each Simulator and fly to the Taj Mahal, Ford Island (Arizona Memorial) Eiffel Tower, Kennedy Space Center, Mount Rushmore, the Grand Canyon, the Las Vegas Strip at night, Rio De Janeiro, and wherever in the world your imagination can take you.
Flight Sim Spot
There is so much more so come on in and join the experience here at the New England Air Museum.
The Flight Sim Spot is open Saturday and Sunday from noon to 4:00 p.m. with extended hours during holidays and special events.
Recommended for ages 10 and up. The schedule is subject to change.
A 30 minute flight block is $1 per person (in addition to the Museum admission) and free for Museum members.
